14th August and Eid are couple of occasions in Pakistan that are celebrated with a lot of zeal and passion. With Eid-ul-Fitar now just a day away to be celebrated in the country, it has been reported that the top politicians of the country including the likes of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Chief Minister of Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif will be celebrating the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitar away from home in London.

While politicians and celebrities from all over the world rejoice significant holidays with their loved ones at home, Pakistanis do the exactly the opposite by cheering on the occasion in another country. On the occasion of Christmas in USA, Obamas Venture go to their favorite holiday spot, Hawaii.

According to a Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) source, the daughter of Prime Minister of Pakistan, Maryam Nawaz and the brother of Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif have already left for London to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Eid. Pakistan’s PM, Nawaz Sharif, is already in the British capital who underwent open heart surgery last month. All 3 of them will return to Pakistan after celebrating Eid.

For your information, Nawaz Sharif and his family used to cry during General Pervez Musharraf regime that the then government does not even let them celebrate Eid in Pakistan. Now when they have all the power in the country, they are all in London to have a good time on Eid.

Moreover, according to Bilawal house spokesperson, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also left for England along with his two sisters, Bakhtawar and Asifa, from Karachi and they all will be reveling the auspicious occasion of Eid in the capital of England.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) spokesman, Wasay Jalil said that the nominated Mayor of Karachi, Waseem Akhtar, will be spending Eid holidays in London. He further added that the senior party leader, Farooq Sattar, is in Karachi at present.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman, Imran Khan, will celebrate Eid in Pakistan. He will be going to Lahore to his ancestral house where he will make merry along with his sisters in Zaman Park, Lahore. However, he is scheduled to leave for England later this week where he will witness the first of the 4 test matches between Pakistan and England which will take place at Lords’ Cricket Ground. He will be accompanied with his 2 sons.

There has been plenty of criticism about this in the country. However, this move is not the unanticipated one since this is not the first time country’s leadership will be away from Pakistan especially at the time of a certain occasion.
