Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) honored one of the greatest philanthropists and humanitarian, Abdul Sattar Edhi, in an event, while announcing their association with the Edhi Foundation. The announcement was made by PCB Chairman, Mr. Shahryar Khan.

The agreement was signed between the two parties and it was about that the logo of Edhi Foundation would be stamped on the official kits of Pakistan Cricket team players for the ODI and T20I series against Ireland and England. The tour will start from 14th July next month.

There would be hardly any individual in Pakistan who hasn’t heard the name of Abdul Sattar Edhi. The guy started from a home in 1951 and now he and his efforts are recognized worldwide. Abdul Sattar Edhi is a selfless individual, social activist and a generous humanitarian.

The event was also attended by the captains of Pakistan Cricket teams (all formats). Vice President of Pepsi Pakistan, Mr. Jahanzeb Khan and Head of Marketing, Mr. Salman Butt were also present at the occasion.

When it comes the recognizing the efforts of institutions and backing the noble causes, Pepsi Pakistan is among very few brands that is always on the forefront of it. This occasion was no different as Pepsi Pakistan donated Rs. 1 million to this cause while appreciating and lavishing utmost praises for the Edhi foundation.

The cheque of Rs. 1 million was received by the grandson of Abdul Sattar Edhi and Edhi Foundation Trustee, Mr. Saad Edhi. Vice President of Pepsi Pakistan, Mr. Jahanzeb Khan, presented the cheque to Mr. Saad Edhi on 17th June 2016 at an event that was held at Lahore when PCB and Edhi Foundation collaborated.

This move will definitely help Pepsi to grow as Abdul Sattar Edhi is one of the most recognized and acknowledged philanthropists in Pakistan. He is renowned worldwide as well. By donating in the noble cause and by fulfilling their CSR, Pepsi Pakistan have done a world of good for the foundation as well as for themselves.
