The fact that Pakistan is a country of food lovers is a foregone conclusion. Our culture is rich with wafting aromas of spices and other ingredients cooked with as much love as it is cooked with precision. The country is replete with dishes that are pride of the given region. So much so that some of the places have become synonymous with the particular dish. Whether it is Pashtun’s famous rice haleem or Lahori Biriyani, each city boasts of its own culinary claim to fame.
It is this love of food in the country that prompted the soft drink major 7Up to embark on a culinary journey across the country and celebrate our passion for food. The four part series has the very charming VJ duo, Anoushey Ashraf and Shazad hosting the show. The show travels across four cities and brings you the most savored dishes of the city. What’s more, they have even managed to rope in a celebrity from each of the city to join the duo in their quest for gastronomical delights.

The show began with Anoushey and Shahzad going to Karachi and exploring the Port Grand. The very charming Sarwat Gilani joins the duo and the result is mouth watering array of great food and great times. The famous fish kebabs and Haleem at The Babujee restaurant was devoured with gusto. Sarwat even shared her secret recipe of Fresh lime with 7Up to go with the great food. The first episode signed off with the trio signing some super merchandise that can be won by fans just by putting up their pictures with some great food and posting it on the 7Up social pages with hashtag #AsalFoodie and #ManaLoFoodKaLove.

The second stop was Multan where the famous actor Ali Safina joined the bandwagon and took the food fiesta across popular food joints of Multan. Again, the food and fun combined with some chilled 7Up the viewers were left asking for more.
The next stop was Lahore, where our hosts were joined by Ali Hamza, who not only took them around foodie hotspots, but also had them join him at home for breakfast of delicious Paya. There was great food at the famous Food Street of Lahore with some chilled beverage to wash it all down.
