The rage of food streets is here to continue as Peshawar is ready to welcome a new food street by the end of 2016 at its popular Hayatabad town.
Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) has requested interested bidders to submit their applications for open bidding. The bidding will take place for various food outlets which will open for public once the street is operational.
The overall design of the street will provide ease and facilitation to customers. In addition, there will be proper parking spaces with two main entrance gates. Estate and Management Director of PDA, Shahid Ikram said:
“The food street will serve customers from various localities of the city. Furthermore, a diverse menu of food items will be available to customers once the food street becomes operational”
Criteria to submit bidding applications
The outlets will be rented after an open bidding process and successful bidders will pay premium along with the monthly rent. Shahid Ikram recently said that food street will be operational before 2017. It will be located at Phase VI Hayatabad and it will start with 26 food outlets ranging from diverse cuisines.
Only those with an experience of 5 years of running food outlets/restaurants are allowed to take part in the bidding process. This criterion is set to ensure quality food is provided to its customers and to maintain standardization.
According to PDA, the last date for the submission of bids is 5th September 2016.
