Pepsico’s energy drink Sting has roped in Amir Khan, the British Boxing Champion of Pakistani origin to promote the sport in the country and also get the youth of Pakistan more interested in Boxing at a professional level. The tour provided fans of the star and boxing in general, an opportunity to meet the champion, interact with him and even get a chance to put on a pair of gloves and get in the ring with him.
Amir is in the country on a tour to promote and popularize boxing at a professional level. He met and interacted with boxing fans in Lahore and Islamabad. Their enthusiasm and keenness has egged him on to consider opening an international standard academy that will train and coach the talented youth interested in taking up the gloves for the country in world events.
Amir says, “Pakistan is my home country and we have a lot of talent here. I want to ensure that the youth have facilities and opportunities to become international champions. I want to thank Sting for providing a platform to meet, coach and engage with the youth of Pakistan through friendly boxing rounds.
