Bohut acha. My most memorable recollection of your beautiful country was heading east somewhere near Landi Kotal through the Khyber on a clear day. I swear I could see India in the distance, the river 8000 ft below, and the summit 4000 ft above. It has stuck with me for over 40 years, along with the friendship and hospitality of the Pathan in NWFP. If I didn’t live in Canada, there are very few places I’d rather be than back in tribal territory as it was in 1970.
It must have been Afghanistan not India Fred. Landi Kotal is North West of Pakistan and no doubt its a beautiful place. Seeing the clouds touch the peaks was a breathless site. May God Bless Pakistan and this world. (Amin)
